Supergrape offers a selection of artisanal wines from conscientious, and often not-so-well-known, wine makers.

Sometimes, it's more about what you don't do, than what you do.

These wine makers meddle as little as possible in the wine making process. In the vineyard, they avoid all kinds of “cides” - pesti, fungi, and herbi, to name a few, and other products that are, let's be honest, not beneficial for the soil, the grapes, and those drinking the wine. They prefer natural yeasts, ripe grapes, low yields, and hand harvesting. In the cellar, they avoid fining, filtering, chaptalising, acidifying, and many of the other processes and products that can be used in winemaking.

We don't dislike wines made using other methods. We just get a bigger kick out of wines that have been made in a certain way - and made by wine makers who don't only care about how good the wine is, but also what they do to make that great wine.

Some of the wine makers were born into families with generations of wine making history. Some simply decided, early or late on in life, to change career.

What they all share is a passion to make great wines in the most conscientious way possible.

Cheers!
